Terms of Service

By ordering a commission from me, you automatically agree to abide by these rules. Please read them carefully. The posted work time in the "general" section is the most up-to-date reflection of my expected turnaround time. Bear in mind that these rules apply in addition to any specific stipulations described on sales posts or journal entries.Breaking these rules may result in consequences ranging from a warning to potential blacklisting for repeated or egregious offenses.



I. General

  • Please be kind, I am trying my best.

  • I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason.

  • Please allow up to one (1) month for your artwork to be completed. If I am delayed, I will provide you with an update at that time. If you have paid and not received your artwork or an update after 1 month, please reach out to me via e-mail or Deviantart!

  • If I make a mistake on your artwork, please let me know! I will make minor corrections and adjustments at no charge within 1 week of delivering your finished commission.

  • Refunds will be discussed on a case-by-case basis for unfinished commissions. There will be no refunds for completed work.

  • Payment is handled through paypal and all prices are in USD. Full payment is due before a commission will be worked on past the sketching stage. If payment is never issued, I reserve the right to use any sketches made for the project in other artworks.

  • Please reach out to me if you have any special requests or inquiries regarding payment plans, status of your order, or unusual commission ideas. I will do what I can to help!



II. Art usage & Copyright

  • I (spectracati) retain the copyright on commissioned artwork. I reserve the right to display completed commissions in my portfolio or on my website and social media platforms in order to promote my work. I will not use commissioned artwork for merchandise without obtaining prior written consent from the owner of the design.

  • Proper credit is required. In situations where my signature may not be visible on the image, you must credit me and link back to my DeviantArt account.

  • My digital art commissions are not to be used as stock, traced, manipulated, edited, or uploaded to personal galleries without my consent.

  • Personal use of the completed artwork (cropping, resizing, use as banners or avatars, uploading to a character account on ToyHouse) is always allowed for the person who commissioned it - or the current owner of the character design in cases where the character design is sold with its art. My artwork may not be redistributed, reproduced, or used in merchandise without my explicit prior written consent.

  • Any scrap sketches I produce during the course of creating your artwork belong to me. If you like a sketch that ultimately does not get used in the final piece, please ask about it and arrangements can be made.

Portrait: $75.00

A digital painting of your character(s) from the shoulders up. Base price includes a simple background to suit the character (as pictured) and minor clothing/jewelry. Intricate clothing, markings, fins, feathers, etc may be considered complex design elements.Portraits feature dynamic poses and dramatic lighting/composition to make your character truly shine.

Illustration: $125.00

A fully-realized artistic representation of your character in a vibrantly-painted scene.
